Flea Market finds, Packages & Giveaways

While out frame hunting, I came across this vintage paper lantern tablecloth. Not only do I love the design but the colors couldn't be more perfect~ definitely a new favorite!

I have a friend{Erica} who sends me the best packages filled with vintage goodies. She's the reason my Vintage Tablecloth collection is growing.....

I'm spending the weekend soaking my new tablecloths. Oxyclean really works wonders~ pretty soon they'll be as good as new.

A Giveaway If you haven't entered the Farm Chicks Giveaway be sure to stop off at their blog to enter.

They're sharing some great gifts they picked up on their recent trip to New York. How fun!

Julie & Julia, Coming Soon!

I can't wait! It comes out August 7th. I'm so excited, for so many reasons....one being the glimpse into Julie's Vintage home decor(have you seen those pillows below, and the Italian Toile lamp in the background)even my 12 year old daughter said "I think you're going to love her home".

Meryl Streep(one of my all time favorite Actresses), Julia Child~ she always seemed a bit quirky but fun to me. I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie :)

The Window Man is coming to Town....

It's only once a month, but when he comes around I get really excited! The window man(well that's what everyone calls him because his space is filled with windows~ and his truck bed is over-flowing with windows & doors)comes here once a month, so I try to make sure to visit him. He rescue's windows from Old Homes that are going to be destroyed or refurbished.

1. I Am Loved Again 1, 2. Yet another abandoned house, 3. The old distillery - old window frames, 4. the elderly woman and the fat brown cat

I love this idea, what a clever way to divide a room!

1. Vintage Cartoon Las Vegas Map

My kids are off to Lav Vegas to spend a couple weeks with family. I was expecting to be a little more excited to finally have some time to myself, but less than a minute after dropping them off I'm surprised to find myself crying, the whole way home....and they just left! Wow, if this is any indicator as to how I'm going to feel when they finally grow up and move away from home, I'm in trouble!

Garden Sheds.......

What I wouldn't do to have one of these Cottage Garden Sheds in my backyard. I of course would turn mine into a little work studio~ I couldn't just use one of these cuties for storage(I'd actually like to move in)! I can only imagine what the main house looks like :)

Emerging Trends....

It was really nice seeing one of my Window Frame Chalkboards included on the Front Page of Etsy. It was especially nice because of the amount of time I've spent recently working on creating more frames for my Shop.

I've actually lost feeling in the tip of my thumb from the hours(seriously hours) it took to remove the glass & scrapping away old paint.

After......

Some fun new fabric that just arrived, and a couple frames I can't wait to get started on.

She Paints, I Work.

My daughter loves to paint. This is something we do lots of during the Summer. So while I'm running around the house trying to complete projects or getting something packed up and ready to send out, this is what she's happiest doing.

These are some of my past Magnetic Chalkboards/Memo Boards. I'm taking the next couple weeks to work on adding a dozen or two into my Etsy Shop.
That's my goal, it's going to take a lot of organizing, frame hunting, fabric ordering, painting & time! I actually enjoy the whole process, seeing a piece go from something plain and simple to something pretty and functional.
Now making this happen while my kids are out of school for Summer, is going to be challenging~ wish me Luck :)
